Bread Rasmalai is an instant version of regular rasmalai bought from store or made at home. It is a quick, easy and delicious dessert which will be ready in around 30 minutes, compared to traditional rasmalai which takes at least two and a half hours to prepare. This recipe is sure to please everyone’s palate. Here I have used bread instead of cottage cheese and I have also used condensed milk along with whole milk to prepare thickened milk known as ras, which certainly reduces the cooking time. Now a days people are so pressed for time that most of them look out for instant version recipe. You can make this to satisfy your sweet-tooth this lock-down time.

Nutritional Facts of Rasmalai

Ingredients :

1. Full Fat Milk - 4 cups/500ml
2. White Bread Slice - 4-5 pcs
3. Sugar - 1/2 cup or as per taste
4. Chopped Dry Fruits
5. Saffron Strands
6. Cardamom - 3 pcs
7. Rose Water - 1 tsp (optional)

Preparation of Milk :

1. Soak few strands of saffron in 2 tbsp of warm milk and keep it aside.

2. Heat milk in a heavy-bottom pan. Bring it to boil, stir at regular intervals at low flame. After 10 mins, add sugar and mix, and boil.

3. After another 10 mins, you will get the desired thick and creamy milk. It will reduce it to half of it's original volume.

Now, add soaked saffron milk and 3 cardamoms to it. Stir it for 1 min.

* Add chopped dry fruits, cashew and pistachio(optional). Give it a mix. Switch off the flame.

Preparation of Bread Rasmalai :

1. Cut a circle out of bread using cutter. You will get 4-5 bread circles. You can even use large-mouth bottle caps as cutter or even make rasmalai of different shapes.

2. Take one at a time and dip it in warm milk, flip each after 4-5 mins.

Serve it on a plate or you can refrigerate it and serve it cold.
Garnish it with chopped dry fruits.
